To date the mapping place has completed projects in Denmark, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Switzerland and USA. All sizable projects with varied specifications and all delivered on time to well pleased clients. Consultancy projects include photogrammetric design for production flow programming, production training and product enhancement, which have all been successful. Notable consultancy projects include OS Ireland and OSGB. Production levels within imagery processing have now reached over 15000 processed images per year

David Child has gathered experience in producing maps for 25 years. Skills and knowledge have been gained in England, Africa, Holland and Denmark. Experience stretches from traditional cartography techniques to modern digital photogrammetry. David initially founded the mapping place in September 1999, as the sole principal. The intention was to keep the business small and highly efficient. the mapping place specialises in quality production. We are small enough to concentrate on client satisfaction - we have to be as good or better within our production quality as our client's - but we have a large specialised capacity able to meet today's delivery schedules!

Marianne Child has a background in accountancy and manages finances as well as project management of image processing, client support, scanning and IT. Marianne adds the style to the production environment.

She is also the quality control person. Her experience in managing the business accounting for British Airways in Northern Europe has been transferred to organising quality control documentation and structuring production accountability.

Stoyanka Nozharova studied Geodesy at Sofia University in Bulgaria. Her responsibility at the mapping place is as a Photogrammetrist - Responsible for aerial triangulation projects, of which are regularly over 500 images and maintaining quality control and project management throughout the AT process. Stoyanka uses MapInfo as a GIS project management tool. We get a surprising amount of DTM work on orthophoto and technical topographical and statistical DTM / DSMs which Stoyanka takes care of as well as orthophoto projects from a variety of image scales and resolution.

Eskil Nielsen finished his Msc. of Surveying, Planning and Cadastral Management at Aalborg University in 2003, where close range photogrammetry was his special subject. He already has precision land surveying and terrestrial laser scanning experience prior to joining the mapping place. We look forward to Eskil helping us diversify our portfolio from just specialising in photogrammetric production.
