Part of our strength in image processing is our skill in dodging imagery to client specifications. Scanning aerial film is sometimes made difficult by the different exposure conditions that often occur in flight which means that scanning results vary. We measure our imagery to check that all images match expectations and post process them if they do not.
The example shown here is a dense orange mask film exposed in poor light. Dodging enhances the colours, makes a pleasing appearance and has also constrained the image from clipping and data loss.
