Digital Orthophoto

The mapping place uses Socet Set mosaic and LPS for orthophoto rectification.

High capacity is available due to powerful precision workstations and terabytes of disk space. We can produce single image orthophotos or quality mosaicing of several hundred images. DTM TIN format is used for the orthophoto rectification to ensure that the DTM accuracy is preserved through to the final product.

We pride ourselves in the geometric and radiometric accuracy of our orthophoto work. Dodging is used as a colour balancing tool. Dodger constraints are used to limit image loss and too much manipulation to ensure accurate and uniform radiometry. Rigorous checks are applied to QA the rectification result and to document the product accuracy.

Bridges are rectified through careful use of break line definition in the DTM. Expert use of Photoshop is also used to compliment the photogrammetry where necessary
