Scanning

We use a Vexcel Ultrascan 5000 V4 with an automatic roll film unit with Vexcel Version 3 software for scanning.

Scanning quality sets the standard for the product in both end user satisfaction and ease of production. We strive towards the best possible image appearance and to meet client specifications.

To maintain our quality we take heed of the several details within the scanning process:

We pay maintenance on the scanner to ensure full backup from Vexcel. We have worked with beta testing for Vexcel's Version 3 scan software because we wanted a better software package to help us control our scanning results.

We have upgraded our version 3 scanner with the version 4 to get better radiometry results and more speed.

There is no compromise on accuracy. Calibration procedures are followed to ensure that all scanning meets a high photogrammetric precision. Calibration results, with an accuracy of better than 2 microns, are available for all scan projects. The scan work flow has over a terabyte of disk space which ensures that no delays occur due to lack of storage space
